"Fitness should be fun!"
I played sports growing up from soccer to field hockey. After my second knee surgery in my sophomore year of high school, I decided to close my chapter on the sports scene. It wasn’t until 10 years later, that I realized I was craving physical activity in my life. I had no coach, trainer, or guidance and didn’t know where to start, so I just started running. Running for me still wasn’t enough, I needed something more to mix up my routine. So, I had to find what made it fun for me! I went to the local gym but there was no real personal interaction, it wasn’t enough.
In 2017 I found Poston’s FFL through the Drop 2 Sizes Program. I learned so much through the program and I was hooked. It was the personal interaction, encouragement, variety of programs, and sense of community I was looking for. Once my 8-week program was over, I reached out to the coaching staff to ask how I could stay involved and just not as a member. So here I am today, over a year later, working on my ACE Personal Training Certification and interning at Poston’s FFL. It is a rush for me to help others, to be the encouragement and push they need to live their best life and that life includes fitness. Fitness should be fun!
